The Gentle Breeze Carries Willow Fluff, Cherished Ones Remain in Our Hearts
As the Qingming Festival approaches, a gentle breeze stirs the willow fluff, and nature awakens with renewed vitality. This traditional festival, rich in cultural heritage, blends the customs of the Cold Food Festival and the Shangsi Festival. It is a time for remembering and honoring our ancestors, as well as enjoying the beauty of spring through outdoor activities. Throughout history, people have expressed their reverence for life and love for nature by visiting graves, planting trees, and hanging willow branches.
In accordance with the national holiday schedule, YRO will be on holiday on April 4th for Qingming Festival. However, rest assured that you can leave us a message through online channels at any time, and we will address your inquiries as soon as the holiday ends.
Qingming Festival is a unique occasion that combines solemn remembrance with joyful outdoor activities. While tomb sweeping, kite flying, and spring outings are well known traditions, tug-of-war was also a significant Qingming activity in ancient times. During the Tang Dynasty, it became a festival custom, though the rules differed from today’s version. Emperor Xuanzong even organized a grand "thousand person tug-of-war" event. Additionally, ancient celebrations included cuju (an early form of soccer), swinging, and paper kite flying—Qingming in ancient times was full of lively and entertaining traditions.
On this special day, we hope you spend meaningful moments with your loved ones, honor those who came before, and feel the breath of spring.
